The Celebrant Training Program Objectives

We offer two separate programs. Weddings and Other Commitment Ceremonies and  Funerals and Other Rites of Passage.  Upon completion of each program, you will be awarded a Certificate of Celebrancy granted by Global Ministries University, of which the Center for Celebrant Training is affiliated.  Global Ministries University is an interfaith and nondenominational online university that offers degrees and certificates completely online.

The Weddings and Other Commitment Ceremonies Program objectives are:

1. The viewing and evaluation of various ceremonies
2. The role of a wedding celebrant
3. How to design wedding and other commitment ceremonies with substance, meaning, and dignity
4. How to write and deliver a ceremonial message
5. The practicalities of being a wedding celebrant, such as image, marketing, working with other professionals, running a business and legalities

The Funerals and Other Rites of Passage Program objectives are:

1. The viewing and evaluation of funeral services
2. The role of a funeral celebrant
3. How to design funeral and other rites of passage services with substance, meaning, and dignity
4. How to write and deliver a service message
5. The practicalities of being a rites of passage celebrant, such as image, marketing, working with other professionals, and running a business
